The Mission

As foster parents, we knew how hard it was when a child is dropped off at your home, typically with nothing. Our daughter, Aubrey, saw the need to help foster families in our community by providing basic supplies to help them during a chaotic time of visits, appointments, and transitions.

Shoals Foster Closet strives to be the calm in the chaos for foster families. We are here to provide compassion, comfort, and care in the midst of children's most traumatic times in life.

I am a Christian, mom, foster mom, wife, business owner, and leader of Foster the Family of North Alabama. I started Shoals Foster Closet with my daughter, Aubrey, in 2024. An idea that started two years ago!

I have been so blessed to have helped families in need to get their children back from the foster care system. I am an advocate for children and families.

Aubrey is 8 years old and went from only child to foster sister a few years ago. She enjoys art and friends.

Aubrey saw children coming to our home with nothing. We have no resources in the Shoals area that offer help and resources. Two years later, Aubrey's helped establish Shoals Foster Closet with her mom, Ashley.
